Kathleen Parks Bio
Kathleen Parks is an educator, motivational speaker, and politician. She is Jefferson County Commissioner for District C of Louisville, Kentucky. She is also Vice President of the Metro Democrats of Kentucky. Commissioner Parks advocates for local legislation in Louisville, Kentucky to support a reparations resolution. She is known as the “First Lady of Reparations for Slavery,” serving as Academic Dean of the American Slave History Education Academy that she founded. The Academy focuses on the history of American Slaves. She is Chapter President of the Metro Kentucky State Chapter of the National Action Network. She is Adjunct Professor at Bellarmine University and has taught at numerous other colleges and schools. She holds an MA in Arts Administration from Indiana University-Bloomington and an MAT in Learning and Behavior Disorders from Spalding University. She is Executive Producer of the syndicated talk-radio show, “Unleashed.”
