Lisa R. Ransom has worked to advance national policy in finance, education and workforce, including the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform bill as vice president of federal affairs for the CRL; and the reauthorization of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act as the policy consultant with NAPE. A member of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Advisory Committee on Apprenticeships, she represented the US at the US/EU Working Group on Labour and Employment Issues in Brussels, Belgium. No stranger to Congress, Lisa has worked for several House members.
She holds a BS in political science from the University of Maryland Global Campus and is pursuing her MPA at the University of Baltimore. Committed to the mission of the Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth, Lisa is currently on sabbatical from chair and CEO of the Augustus F. Hawkins Foundation and principal with The Invictus Group, Ltd.
