Sarah J. Davidson is a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas and currently resides in Silver Spring, Maryland. She is a business owner, an educator and community activist. She is the owner of National Institute of Family Services, Inc., and a vice president at myEcon, a national grassroots financial literacy company.
As a teenager, she led voter registration drives and sit-in demonstrations in her hometown under the guidance of civil rights icon Daisy Bates. In 2013, she was featured on ABC Nightline as one of the children who attended the 1963 March on Washington.
In 2007, she was appointed by U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) to the “U.S. Congressional Slave Labor Task Force,” and testified before Congress on the issue on November 7, 2007. She is Co-founder, National Federation of Black Women Business Owners. In 2020, she served as the Maryland liaison for “Black Women for Biden.”
