Subrina Wood is a Boston-born, greater DC Metro transplant. She is a science fiction podcaster, blogger, and cinephile who has a passion for Afrofuturism. As the CEO of SyFy Sistas, Inc. Subrina hosts book club sessions, panel discussions, and fan events at virtual and live science fiction conventions. Subrina is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, where she took her first course in film, studying the works of William Wyler. She studied film production and screenwriting at New York Film Academy and stuck her toe in the Berklee School of Music for a History of Film Music course.
