Allison J. Davis is the founder of Coopty Productions. Launched in 2007, Coopty Productions provides video and virtual production for not for profits. Davis has had a long career in television news. Shortly after her graduation from Boston University, she was named a producer at WBZ-TV (Boston). She later accepted a role as an Investigative Reporter at KDKA-TV (Pittsburgh).
However, Davis spent most of her broadcast career at NBC News where she served as a producer for Nightly News, First Camera/Monitor and the iconic Today Show. In addition, Davis helped to develop and launch MSNBC.
She is one of the founders of the National Association of Black Journalists and was inducted into the organization’s Hall of Fame in 2016. Allison Davis was born in New York City. She and her husband, Robert Wright, live in Teaneck, N.J. They are the parents of two sons.
