Sonja Brookins Bio
Dr. Sonja Brookins, is an environmental justice advocate, co-author, and speaker. She is the founder of DirtyGirlsAg Foundation, Inc. Dr. Brookins currently serves as the first African American on the Hillsborough County Soil and Water Conservation Supervisor District 4. She serves as Vice President of Association of Florida Conservation (Region 4) and as an at-large member for the Coastal RPG under National Association for Conservation Districts. Brookins serves on several boards including Healthcare Advisory, LEADS, Community Advisory for LGBTQ Allies and BUBBA. She is an executive board member for the Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida.
